The Gala Garden Show is organized by the volunteer members of Soroptimist International of Sequim, and has been our primary fundraiser since 2006. The show is very popular with the community and vendors from around the county. Over forty businesses bring plants and garden-related items to the Gala to sell. Approximately 2,000 attendees in 2024 came to purchase the wares and listen to speakers on a variety of subjects related to gardening. The proceeds from the Gala go back into the community in the form of scholarships and financial support to empower women and girls through access to education and providing funds to local non-profit organizations whose mission aligns with ours. 

In 2025 Soroptimist of Sequim will celebrate our 26th Annual Gala Garden Show. Each year we promote and market the Gala Garden Show by selecting a garden-related image submitted by a local artist or photographer. The image will be used as the “logo” on all publicity produced for the event. This is a great opportunity for an adult or teen to have their original art or photograph displayed throughout the year in newspapers, flyers, and other media. 

Since the artist or photographer selected will be offered a free vendor booth at the 2025 Gala Garden Show, this is a prime opportunity for the winner to display and sell other creations. 

The Artwork Committee is now searching for the featured artwork or photograph for the 2025 Gala Garden Show scheduled for March 15^th and 16^th . Artwork and photographs submitted by hobbyists and professionals will be accepted for the contest which will be judged and the winner decided by the committee.
